MAKING CONNECTIONS

The idea behind them is to create space with objects around us. My partner maria flores, interpreted it as nature going into these spaces, creating lines of extrusion from the plant stems and flowers. My hands were the object i chose because i was interested in the different textures and patterns around japan we are not so used to seeing in the united states. Touching from objects to facades, my photos show my hand touching these new technology and creating a sense of motion in space.

Images were taken during a trip to japan. In several locations such as tokyo, mt. Fuji, osaka, kyoto, etc...

FINAL MODEL

Our final installation was to represent the pictures as a space that could be touched and felt. You can step in and walk around or inside of it. You can step into different parts of its membranes and the most important aspect was to make connections and join together these different sticks that create a sense of partition and space in time.
